CITY CENTER
The future downtown of Lynnwood will be “City Center”- a place to work, live, and play.
As Lynnwood’s new “City Center” development takes shape, the area is being reimagined as a vibrant, new downtown environment that mixes livability, and walkability within striking distance of a Link Light Rail station (coming in 2024).
Over the next five years, "City Center" will be developed into a commercial center and an appealing place to live, work, and play. It will boast the new light rail station, apartments, 700,000 square feet of retail and office space, and new urban parks.
Visit the City of Lynnwood's website for more information on this project.
LINK LIGHT RAIL EXTENSION
Riders will enjoy fast, frequent and reliable service between Snohomish County and the University of Washington, downtown Seattle, Sea-Tac Airport, and more.
In 2024, Sound Transit will open its Link Light Rail extension in Lynnwood. For the first time, light rail will connect Snohomish County to Northgate, UW, downtown Seattle, South Seattle, and Sea-Tac Airport, and it is expected to take less than 30 minutes to travel from Lynnwood to downtown Seattle. The new Link Light Rail station is located in the future downtown of Lynnwood, “City Center”, and will be within easy walking distance to many hotels, restaurants, parks, and other attractions.
Visit Sound Transit's website for more information and the latest updates on this project.
