Just northwest of Darrington is the Finney Creek-Segelson Creek Sno-Park on Mt. Higgins. View trail map.

63 miles of groomed winter recreation trail designated for snowmobiling takes you to beautiful Cumberland Pass to the west and Finney Creek to the east. Check here for current grooming information.

From Darrington, drive west about five miles to Swede Heaven Road, 1.5 miles to Forest Service Road #18. In approximately 1 mile, you will find 30 parking spaces and the trailhead. A Sno-Park Permit is required.

Before You Go

Be prepared for winter driving with limited sight distance and bumpy driving on all Forest Service roads. Check road conditions.

Carry avalanche rescue gear: a shovel, probe, and beacon and check the avalanche forecast at www.nwac.us.

Bring extra clothing, food, water, blankets, first aid kit, shovel, and tire chains.
