BEACHES, PARKS & TRAILS

Kayak Point is a spectacular saltwater beach park located along the shores of picturesque Port Susan. It is a good spot for viewing seals, sea lions, whales, and birds. From its 3,300-foot shoreline to its evergreen forests, Kayak Point offers a rich setting for a variety of outdoor activities, including beachcombing, RV and tent camping, yurts, hiking trails, beachside firepits, picnic shelters, fishing and crabbing, a public boat launch, and more.

Stanwood is the gateway to beautiful Camano Island, where you will find Camano Island State Park and Washington’s newest state park, Cama Beach State Park.

ACTIVITIES & ATTRACTIONS

Discover the Magic of Snow Geese. Each year in the fall and winter, Stanwood is home to over 200,000 migratory geese and trumpeter swans. The birds feed together and take flight en masse, with old barns, riverside trees, and Mount Baker creating a beautiful backdrop. Visit Discover Stanwood Camano for more information.

Arrowhead Ranch is a destination adventure center offering an axe-throwing venue and a craftsman makerspace. It is also home to the annual Stanwood and Camano Island Soap Box Derby, and is open for hosting special events.

Kristoferson Farm is a sixth generation family-owned farm about one hour north of Seattle. Delicious jams, teas, and herb blends are available in the Farm Store, and-crafted holiday wreaths and lavender products can be found seasonally. U-Pick lavender is available starting in mid-June. Visitors can zipline through the tree canopy with Canopy Tours Northwest, experience the Terra Teams challenge course, or host an event in the 100 year old barn.
