Styled By Snohomish
Historic downtown Snohomish makes for a delightful day trip for anyone in Western Washington. But in spite of its reputation, this charming little city is about so much more than just good antiques.
In fact, Snohomish County is jam-packed with hidden gems like incredible boutiques, home goods, restaurants, and retail shops that don’t get nearly enough praise.
Intrigued? You’ll have a chance to sample some of the best shopping, snacks, drinks, and other delights at the second annual Styled by Snohomish event on Saturday, April 22. This exciting affair was such a huge success in its inaugural year, the team has gathered again to show off everything Snohomish has to offer.
“Business owners in Snohomish most often have grown up within the county and their families have very deep roots,” says longtime local and lifestyle blogger Melody Todd, who co-founded Styled by Snohomish. “They want to see their community thrive and there’s a lot of heart thread throughout. At each business, you’ll see owners working behind the counter, greeting you with a warm smile, and to them, your visit matters.”
The concept of Styled by Snohomish started in October 2021, when Alyssa Hoffman, owner of Sprig Beauty Co., Jackie Vail, owner of Uptown Wine and Beer, and Melody Todd of Honest Chatter got together over wine to discuss their visions of a downtown Snohomish event that would highlight the local fashion scene and all the things that make Snohomish special. With a little brainstorming and the support of local influencer and photographer Alicia Erickson, Styled by Snohomish was born.
Styled by Snohomish 2.0 is happening on Saturday, April 22 at the Feather Ballroom.
The inaugural event in May 2022 was a huge success, filling the historic Feather Ballroom with brunch bites, bubbles, treats, and beats by DJ Sharadawn. The room buzzed as guests mingled, shopped the boutique pop-ups, took photos in front of the Balloon Baby Designs balloon arch, and watched an impressive fashion show.
At the end of the day, two things were clear: a lot of people had realized just how underrated Snohomish County businesses are, and the event definitely needed to happen again in 2023.
Styled by Snohomish 2.0 is happening on Saturday, April 22 at the Feather Ballroom, with a special shopping event at the offices of John L. Scott for the VIP ticket holders. More boutiques have joined the party (and the runway), and Rachelle Cunningham, owner of Edit, has joined the planning team to help elevate the event even further.
VIP guests are welcome to arrive at 1:30 PM for some early shopping, and all guests will gather in the Feather Ballroom at 2:30 PM for live music by DJ Mixxtress, light bites, drinks, swag, and a fashion show featuring some favorite Snohomish boutiques. This year’s featured boutiques include Edit, Maple & Moss, Studio DG, One Common, Sprig, Mimi’s Boutique, Joyworks, and more.
When you arrive, bring your appetite with you. Between the treats by Simply Sweet Cupcakes and Eye Candy Cookies and the irresistible charcuterie cups by Dished by Rachel, you’ll want to snack as much as you shop. Just make sure you save room for a proper meal or two — downtown Snohomish has a fantastic restaurant scene, including everything from historic gems to fresh new eateries.
Snohomish truly offers something for everyone, and Styled by Snohomish is a great way to dive into the local scene. Plenty of General Admission tickets are still available here.
