South Fork Baking Co. + Fisherman Jack's = Everett Best New Waterfront Eats
Have you ever been to the coastal Pacific Northwest? If not, you owe it to yourself to put it on your bucket list.
In the fall and winter, it’s foggy and spooky in all the best ways. In the spring it’s foggy by morning and sparkling clear by afternoon. In the summer the waterside experience simply can’t be beat.
Everett, Washington is a city on the rise, transforming daily into a desirable destination. The city – which lies just up the coast from Seattle -- features the largest public marina on the west coast of the United States. Recently the Everett Waterfront has shifted from a post-industrial zone to a thriving, walkable, mixed-use space – where you can admire boats in the marina, a sunset over the Olympic Mountains and Puget Sound, and get to notch drinks and fine dining – all in one shot. Remarkable.
Two of the newest businesses in the Everett Waterfront sit side by side: the South Fork Baking Co. and Fisherman Jack’s. They pack a powerful culinary one-two punch for seaside foodies.
South Fork offers from-scratch baked goods and piping hot Silvercup espresso to get you perked up for a caffeinated, chocolate-croissant-fueled day of seaside exploration. They have a nice white subway tile and plant interior with pastries aplenty, many vegan options, and a cooler of to-go options if you’re looking to grab something for your waterfront escapade.
Fisherman Jack’s is a chic, modern Asian fusion seafood restaurant, mostly specializing in seafood-based dim sum and a fully stocked luxury bar. In many ways it’s the sister restaurant to The Muse, another must-experience Everett waterfront attraction.
Both places have floor-to-ceiling windows that face boats in the marina and shed light on any given sunset. Rollaway doors lead to additional patio seating. Summertime al fresco dining by the sea? Yes, that’s the life.
When visiting South Fork and/or Fisherman Jack’s, be sure to budget enough time to fully explore both the Everett Waterfront and the city of Everett, proper.
It's time to "sea's the day" in the coastal PNW.
