Holiday Shopping Itinerary
Winter is upon us and it’s time to start hunting for treasures on your shopping list. Why not make a week of it by visiting a true Pacific Northwest destination while shopping? Now that’s a winning combo.
In Snohomish County you can stay in one luxurious seaside hotel and access two full days of top-quality holiday shopping. From a single jumping-off point you can access name brands at reduced prices and still support small business owners in the local community. Ho ho ho!
Visit Snohomish County, just north of Seattle, for an appealing mix of premium retail therapy, small town charm, cozy winter vibes, and a delightful meal break or two. Plus, all the warm, delicious PNW coffee you can sip. Now that's a holiday season well spent.
Day 1
Located about half an hour north of Seattle, the Seattle Premium Outlets has over 130 top-shelf stores that offer deep discounts on name brands like Arcteryx, Coach, Filson, Nike, Banana Republic and more. Whether you’re a fashionista or simply trying to cross some items off your holiday shopping list, the Seattle Premium Outlets have got you covered.
Need a break? Grab lunch at the Tulalip Resort Casino. It's right across the parking lot from the outlet mall. Why the casino? They offer high-quality, yet inexpensive meals at several restaurants that span a variety of food genres. From the outlet malls head north about fifteen minutes to the small city of Arlington. The foggy trees, brick buildings, and bright storefronts make for an inviting winter afternoon stroll.
The Arlington boutique shopping experience offers a slower, meandering take on popping tags. Get a coffee and take your time. Olympic Avenue runs through the downtown of this small city. The avenue is lined with small boutiques filled with handmade clothing, candles, upcycled shabby chic accessories and everything you need for your boho buddies.
Need a place to stay the night? Hotel Indigo in Everett provides classy waterfront lodging with plenty of dining options only a waterfront walk away. May we recommend two new places worth trying? Try delicious Asian seafood fusion at Fisherman Jack's for dinner, followed by The Muse for coffee or cocktails afterwards. You'll see.
Day 2
Alderwood in Lynnwood provides a full morning’s shopping experience. It’s an old-school brick nd mortar mall, which offers all of the nostalgia for 80s and 90s kids – think food court, pretzel stands, indoor fountains, and good old brick-and-mortar retail. For those of you who like quality merchandise and the thrill of buying clothes IRL as opposed to online, Alderwood is your jam. Plus, you can find something for anyone on your list. Visit anchor stores, restaurants and other attractions like REI, the LEGO store, and Dave & Busters.
There are many dining options in Lynnwood, which is known for its impressive array of international dining options. Don’t forget to grab a Lynnwood Best Bites pass to maximize your foodie fun.
Spend the afternoon exploring boutiques in downtown Snohomish. This small town by the river has a brick building nostalgia that makes for an appealing window-shopping spree. Boutiques and small businesses line both sides of First Street. With plenty of places to dine, grab a small bite, or sip a coffee, Snohomish is the quintessential small town shopping destination. Don’t forget to grab a selfie at one of Snohomish’s many murals or its iconic downtown gazebo.
Visit Snohomish County this holiday season for great deals and small local treasures that you can’t find anywhere else. Plus, you’ll enjoy all of the regional beauty along the way. This holiday season you'll be glad that you jingled all the way to Seattle NorthCountry.
