Judy Bruning, owner
115 Avenue D (less than one block from 1st Street)
For appreciators of handmade goods
For those in the know, Bruning Pottery is more than a pottery studio, it’s an institution in Snohomish. This family-owned outfit has been skillfully crafting dinnerware and planters for its legions of fans throughout the Pacific Northwest and beyond since 1983.
Not only does Bruning make its own clay and glaze, in house and by hand, it also uses a bygone heating technique that produces garden pots strong enough to withstand even the harshest of winters.
If you are interested in learning how to throw clay, you can sign up for one of the shop’s popular classes that run throughout the year. Check their website for more info.
